We have Starlink (gets internet anywhere) and two phones with hotspot and if within 3 miles of shore even in the ocean those will work (but we are normally inner coastal waterways)
The biggest hardship is on a boat traveling you never know what's going to happen so schedule out makes it hard for podcasting. Plus 5 people on a boat makes video podcasts and Even just clean audio challenging and I hate giving hosts subpar audio.
For mic I use Rhode go 2 now. Use to use a Shure sm7b but it's bulky as a traveler.
I love podcasting and podcasts but life doesn't support many.
Thanks, Renee! That makes sense! Right now, I have no ideas for selling a book; but, I understand marketing comes with it and it’s something to consider for the future, in my case.
Listen to Renee!
I personally do very few podcast interviews because they are so time intensive living on a sailboat full time with my wife and 3 kids full time.
So im always searching for way to launch without the podcast circuit but I've done it and it freaking works.
I love that you live on a sailboat full time Chris!
How accessible is Internet for you?
Podcasting indeed can be time intensive - what do you typically use Chris?

Did I answer your question? 🤣
Haha yes it does. I am curious about your lifestyle Chris and how it came to be!
If you're ever up for it I'd love to do a coffee chat or Substack Live with you, sailboat Internet permitting :)
Let's make it happen we both love books and I'd love to share the lifestyle and how Mini books made it possible.
A Substack live would be awesome and I'd be honored!

For sure.
And this is for pretty much anything you would launch in the future Kevin…
Can’t wait to see what you create!
